I was put on anti-psychotics at 17, and thats what I suspect destroyed my metabolism, because after taking those for awhile I put on weight and can no longer just stuff myself without gaining weight. I went from 160lbs at 6'4" at 19, to now 213 lbs at 24. It's a sad life.

You're only seeing them when they actually eat. Food is often a social occasion, and skinny people often gorge themselves when they *do* eat precisely because they're hungry as fuck and haven't eaten much while you weren't watching them. Additionally, they often grab high-calorie foods because they're making up for having not eaten. Not even saying they do it consciously, either.

You don't constantly work out, or you would be skinny, period. You work out *regularly,* and you body has time to recover from it rather than waste way. Pro-anorexic websites often recommend that people shake their legs while sitting, or pace around, or do other forms of light exercise *literally* all day. Skinny people often just have a nervous disposition that leads them to act like that unconsciously. They pace, or bounce round, or spike their metabolism regularly by sipping caffeinated drinks. THAT is working out "constantly." Your regularly-scheduled workouts, however exhausting, are no substitute for simply never being truly at-rest.
Also, there are outlets for energy apart from working out. You skinny friend might have an active mind (mental labor DOES burn calories), or he might be sick and not know it. Maybe he's got a tapeworm. Maybe bro has loose bowels and doesn't tell you. Maybe bro has cancer and it's eating his food. Maybe bro is inflamed constantly and his body is expending all that food just fighting the damage. Maybe he got sick and his body used all his protein making enzymes to handle the virus. The energy is going SOMEWHERE.

For most of the really fat people I've ever known, every meal is a feast, and it's surrounded by snacking. Hell of a way to live.

Your skinny friends are skinny because they do some subset of those things too. If you want to eat more then do what I do and hit the weights so you can make muscle mass instead of being a fatass. It's not hard at all.
