Not only that but your background and financial standing are quite important, at least for me being 33. It's kinda an all round package for women if you're 5foot6 and working a basic job in a warehouse. You can make up for it if you were 5foot6 but on a 100k/year tech job.

nothing is stopping women from approaching. the onus doesn't always have to be thrust on men, yet the blame is placed on them. relationships are based on mutual attraction and effort. It's an agreement. you'd think they'd happen or develop naturally, but that's becoming rarer and rarer now.

i've hinted to women my interest. it's never been reciprocated. if I do make any headway, i end up in the friendzone, even if the connection is there. it's as if i'm not even considered a prospect to them. i leave them an out typically as to not make it awkward. the lack of reciprocation makes me believe i must have no dating value in the eyes of women. why that is - i have no idea. it's not an appearance thing. i'm not going to waste my time attempting to date around and throwing myself against a brick wall just to hope to get attention. if i had any value to them, a woman would have approached me long ago. at this point, i never leave my house other than work or gym. it leaves my only real options for meeting women at work (in a heavy stem field with few to no women anyways), and I'm not going to risk my career. women had their chances, yet i've always been ignored. I'm decently fit, have a good job, etc - but that doesn't matter apparently. I'm not an option to them. Meanwhile, women at my work complain how they cannot find any "good guys" out there while they date 50+ in a year.

Most guys I know are married and have kids or at least in a relationship. There's a large handful who aren't though. I'm not deluded enough to think that there's not something fundamentally wrong with me to have ended up in this situation, yet at the same time I think that there is deep problem with whole dating market now. Women have no clue what they actually want, and they don't value what's plainly in front of them. unless that guy tries desperately to win her attention. Meanwhile, most women don't even have to put in any effort to be inundated with suitors. social media ruins the rest.
