I think the idea is that sitting with their crime is a worse punishment than dying because if they have no remorse then death is like a fuck you to the victim(s). Although if they have no remorse, then sitting in a cell is just boredom and victimizing fresh meat, whoever they can take advantage of. That being said, certain individuals need to go.

That's never been my motive. The point of putting someone in prison is to remove them from society until such a time as they can be reformed and allowed back into society. If they cannot be reformed, or if their crime was sever enough that you really dont want to risk a repeat offense (rape, murder, pedophilia, etc) then there is no good argument against killing them.

Restitution does little for the dead, or for one who has already been scarred by the actions of a sociopath
