I LOVE Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing is a fantastic series that's gone to shit. While the first three games were about moving to an unknown place on your own and "making it," New Leaf and New Horizons turned it into a glorified dollhouse and gave the player far too much agency. Being the mayor and having complete control over your town's layout is absurd by the standards of the earlier entries in the series. It wasn't a female-focused series, but it became one.

I want to fuck many of the cute (male) villagers so yeah.

Unfortunately I tried New Leaf and it was quite boring. Even Stardew valley was really boring for me which makes me feel like I'm missing out. Maybe if there was intense combat as part of the gameplay loop. I don't mind farming in old Monster Hunter games, for instance.

I have a modded 3ds, would it be worth it to get animal crossing for the 3ds even though I already have it on the switch? I'm afraid it'll be too much stuff to juggle. I already kinda suck at reminding myself to play the games I have.

basically this. i didn't realize until acnh. i have bought the game in 3 different occasions and i couldnt start playing it until 2025, 5 years later. because it didn't feel like an animal crossing game. luckily, i could built the game in a way that it feels like an AC but still feels too sassy. new leaf also has this girly aesthetic that kind of ruins the whole mood though i have to say its mechanics are great

The walking speed is so slow and I hate stamina. Clearing a field is a slog. I was told to just keep fishing if I don't know what to do, but that is quite boring as well. Shame I don't get it.

The weird thing I don't mind doing those things in Minecraft that much. It's more immediately rewarding to me.

I'm an incel in the true, non-politicized sense of the word. I bought the Animal Crossing edition Switch back in 2020, but after playing it in handheld mode for a few days I noticed it was causing me wrist pain. So I got a Switch Lite, but I ended up nuking my few game saves for whatever autistic reason. I haven't played since then, even though I actually charged my Lite last month with the intention of getting into it again.

I do like it but I don't want to buy Nintendo consoles to play Nintendo games, I did play a hit of it on my sister's DS when we were kids, but I haven't played it since.
Almost pulled the trigger on that Hello Kitty game but it just doesn't have the same appeal since it's a ported mobile game, same for the mobile Animal Crossing, it's just not the real thing nor does it compare.
Why can't Nintendo just drop games on PC like everyone else?
