Patrician taste, anon.

But I also watch a lot of weird animations and fitness horseshit.

some of them, yeah. after therapy i realized everything they're saying is just
>you can't worry about that anymore it's in the past
>you can't worry about the future, you don't know how it'll turn out and you'll be fine because you'll be ALIVE, anon
>you need to work on yourself by doing normie shit. insert list of the usual things they list
there's never any consideration that i'm just weak and worthless. that fact doesn't book more sessions. they've gotta keep your hopes up by convincing you that you can and should do work because it will be worth it, which i'm not convinced of anymore

>weird animations
how weird, anon?
big fan of 'em too - grew up on Cyriak and stuff like Salad Fingers

Pilotredsun, Umami, David Firth (Salad Fingers guy), Krinkles (mostly for nostalgia) and the odd animated shortfilm.

There's more but I can't remember them off the top of my head. I grew up on Newgrounds and so flash and especially the weirder animations and such really became kind of a core memory.

ohhh snap!
good taste, anon
the kids these days have their weird shit too, just look at meatcanyon

Meatcanyon is okay, but he relies a lot on that "gross-out" feeling. I prefer to just see someone whose brain works differently.

ICantSleep is decent too if you've never seen it. Leans hard into trauma and terror though

but i dont want to, because whatever the hell's wrong with her is way hotter

All meatcanyon only ever does is project his own insecurities and shortcomings onto others and them makes fun of them for it, and I don't even think he's self reflective enough to realize that he's doing that. His content rubs me in the worst way.

I'm honestly so fucking sick of condescending zoomer bullshit and I'm so glad people are starting to catch on and take the piss out of them for it (zoomer stare, etc)

inb4 unc etc

I think he hits the right notes with some people. Him making fun of Sneako and Tate was funny as Hell. I did think he was a massive bitch when he said something about how his videos were only ever made in jest and good faith. Just own the fact that you are making fun of people.

>so fucking sick of condescending zoomer bullshit
Fair, but I'd argue that each generation has its own share of annoying quirks. Gen Alpha and Gen Z are pretty fucked though.

no but i fell for self-help books. does that count?

depends
what kinda self-help books do/did you read?

for me, i'll always stick to Marcus Aurelius' Meditations
Anonymous No.81932218
>>81932153
mostly popular ones like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Win_Friends_and_Influence_People. it's helped quite a bit imo

Pretty good, but way overhyped. Also important to remember how his personal life was a wreck

I feel for a lot of things while trying to self improve in the spam on 8 years and nothing worked

>overhyped
i know, i dont care
>personal life was a wreck
mine too, it fits

i dont really care how he handled his personal affairs, i wasn't in his shoes
i care more about how he handled everything else - how he identifies how some folks are just shallow, how they always want something from him
i'm a pragmatic man myself, i know my limits but i'll sure as hell make the sky my limit

Fair enough, as long as you know not to treat it like more than it is it can be a good tool.

What's that?
Anonymous No.81932364
>>81932344
yeah, its not like my personal bible
the thing about philosophy is that it's like clothing - and when you buy new clothes, it don't always fit you right

you need something tailor-made, something that'll fit you juuuuust nice
i'm my own tailor, anon
