How do you deal with noisy neighbors?

Be noisy when they arent. If they complain just mention that you didn't say anything to them when they were making noise. Eventually they will get the idea.

Go and knock on their door and say to them that they are being loud, first time be polite yet firm, if it persists be less polite about it. I had a neighbor do this and when I knocked on he never answered but I could see he had moved his peep hole cover to stare at me. Second time I stared into the peep hole from 2 feet away and he promptly turned the music down. He hasn't done it since.

it depends on the type of noise, and what type of building you're in

you should first go have a conversation with them, in any case.

If their kids are wailing, call the police

If they don't listen and still make stupid noise, consider building a jeet shaker

My gf had this issue, there were 2 trannies above her stomping around being retarded so I pretended to be the occupant living below and told them to stop and they were very embarrassed. You gotta fucking talk to them, being a fag and playing music back just enables them and makes them feel justified, no one expects someone to actually knock on.

tell it whatever company was hired for managing the property for the apartment owners, they'll write a mean letter to the noisy neighbours, if they are still noisy they can/will get sued

Hmm, I'm usually very shy and awkward when talking to people, especially when trying to pass as intimidating. I'm much more better at practicality, for example, I could leave a bag of my feces at their door step lest they stop making noise. I am serious.

I've not had many noisy neighbours thankfully, but I've had some fucking strange ones, like a drug dealer woman who was paranoid as shit and would leave the front door to the building open all night, which I'd notice on weekends when I was coming home after a night out, I think she left it open so her clients could easily walk in, eventually she left thankfully

I've recently been bringing a box fan around with me to each room I head to, which seems to make it a bit easier. You're always going to have to deal with annoying neighbors to some extent. For a lot of people who move out into the boonies out of preference I'd imagine that can be a potentially common reason

I complain to the council (local city call, who we are tenants of) and they ignore it.
Sometimes I've been able to shut them with with notes or letters through the door.
One I went on a rant to for encroachment, then I calmed down, and we exchanged information about blocked drains and roof leaks.
There was also some noisy night-time laundry bullshit which had stopped. Now they don't even have their loud conversations in their kitchen anymore.
The NEET nig son of the tenant downstairs still plays music though. Quieter and less often, but I report the cocksucker every time, even if it is ignored.
Still, I hate living in this century old shitbox apartment with zero soundproofing. Sadly, as a NEET, I'm just lucky to even keep the place I grew up in.

I'm in the same situation roughly. I'm in a large city so I've been thinking of selling this and moving into the countryside, where I can be away from everyone. Living in a large city sucks imo. I always get stressed out. I'd much rather live in a farm or some place where I don't see anyone living next to me for a hundred yards.
