In every collapse like the economic collapse of Argentine and Venezula, and the Bosnian war, the ones who said what you said are the first to die. If you read a certain first hand account of the Bosnian war in some prepper forums (if I can remember, the guy went by the alias Selco), then you'd find out how brutal it truly is. Despite Argentina being a minor economic collapse, there were a lot more crime going on, and the people wasn't allowed to defend themselves because of the government confiscated all their weapons.

If you read The Modern Survival Manual: Surviving the Economic Collapse by Fernando Aguirre, you'd see how all the larping everyone does (esp on 4chan) isn't going to help them at all. His book is a literal first hand account of what happened in Argentina that was not mentioned in the media during their economic collapse. It's documented evidence. It's all verified.

Yeah...that's what they said and those first hand accounts showed that those were the people who died first. It's the first thing larpers spout. You are not going to be sitting your basement with your stock of canned food because the local community is going to confiscate it by force for "the better of the community." Your neighbors are going to take your weapons for the same reason. It has happened, and it's been documented with verification. The collapses I mentioned were actually very minor collapses that caused a lot of damage.

You are not going to "head for the hills". That ended up killing a lot more people than the ones who "hunkered down" in the city. The "lone wolf"/"Rambo" types ended the same way. What you think happens doesn't actually happen. Those examples I mentioned were actually considered minor collapses, just like the hurricanes in October that left people dead from starvation.
