The concept wasn't really invented by anyone. It's like saying trees were invented by someone. It's just a name for naturally occurring phenomena: the state of a person not having had sex. The concept of anti-virginity is a modern one. Before DNA testing was a thing, the only way a man knows for sure a child is his is thru virginity and monogamy. That's why it was so important.
