I remember hearing a lot about the "alt-right" before it became a thing and just assumed it was just "le white supremacists". Before I learned what it was through my own investigation I actually had a retarded view of it that wasn't remotely charitable at all, which you can boil down to "the OTHER guys", which was basically me buying a narraitve based on the people I followed, who were anti-sjw types, when that was a thing.

I now realize that the very way the term "alt-right" was heavily used and hammered away at and the way it was used is some psychological slight of hand word game. I was never like a full blown bluepill retard but I realize in retrospect even I was afflicted with a retard normalfag thought mechanism, that I just appealed to.

This. It was mostly a historical movement kind of thing, and it's remnants were erased with internet censorship. A lot of the prominant figures from it are still around but "alt-right" isn't a label under which they identify. The term alt-right, still kinda works, but it's mostly a dead term, and obsolete, speaking of which, I've seen leftoids ask retarded questions like "why are right wingers so anti-intellectual", I have to think, really nigger? It's firstly not even necessarilly true as they would like to imply, but when you erase the very thing that had any kind of intellectualizing in the first place, bifurcate people and make it a divided house that cannot stand then the real people in this midst naturally become united in the most tribal of things, which ARE the most tangible things any person could be dealing with, and when you have problems on that lever, who the fuck has time for armchair faggotry.
