if someone catches a fish and kills it that's fine, but piercing the fish with the hook and then ripping the hook out of them and the tossing em back in isn't right to me, just kill it and eat it no matter how big it is, just catch enough little ones to be full, but don't just injure the fish for your amusement, that's what i don't like about fish and why i can't like fishing. it's mean.

Look into overfishing. Fish can still live their life with a little wound, they'll live on and reproduce. Encouraging idiots to eat all the small fish is how you end up with zero big fish, and then they don't reproduce. Why do you think it's illegal to keep undersized fish or too many fish?

I like to fish, I just wish it was also socially acceptable to hunt things like bunnies and let them go.

I love the alone show and wanted to try camping and fishing . I am glad the fish got away because I was eating snacks and beef jerky and was full and didn't really want to kill a fish or deal with gutting and stuff. i was reeling it in by hand because the part you wind to reel in broke and it was surprising how strong a fish can be and full of life. want to try it again some time to actually eat a caught fish but gotta fix the rod
