the cars have become increasingly more difficult to fix, or you need specialized equipment to even identify the damn error codes (more advanced than a simple OBD tool). I am fine changing the oil, tire rotations, changing battery, maybe brakes. Simple shit. Anything that requires further diagnostics or taking things apart - no thanks. I don't like getting under the jack in general.

I never really liked working on the cars as it just resulted in me getting bitched at. I don't miss holding the flash light for my father and being bitched at it because I cannot find the tool in his disorganized toolbox or because I'm not omniscient. That or I didn't know the tool names that he never bothered to teach me without the bitching. It made me adverse to ever want to work on the vehicles myself. I would work on cars if I had a car lift and a nice garage. Cannot afford a house, let alone one with a garage now.

actually umm one of the sensors on the bumper got bopped in out of its hole. any ideas for getting it back in place without taking the bumper off? i can push a piece of tape in the hole with a pencil and get the sensor stuck to it and pull it nearly into place, but it's not stuck on strong enough to the tape to hold it in the hole for more than a few seconds. i'm thinking i need to twist a piece of wire into a shape that can hook the sensor and pull it up into place that way, but i'm not sure how to fix it in place since i don't want to use glue that might run inside the bumper and get on who knows what.

wouldnt be a big deal except that it keeps reading something as being inches from my back left bumper and beeping at me. cant turn off that system tho i wouldnt anyway as the rest of it works fine. any ideas? i'm not a chick though.
