Do you still like going to the theater? Hell do you even like watching movies?

I'll go with my gf every once in a while but I always let her pick, which means we are watching slop 100% of the time. When I'm in the mood for movies I'll just pirate at home with the laptop and HDMI cord running to the back of my TV. Sometimes the romance movies are alright.

I could go to the movies 3 times for $120, or I can use that same money to buy a projector and screen myself instead and watch unlimited movies at cinematic scale.

>Do you still like going to the theater?
Very rarely do I think anything is a must-see, before it shows up on pirate stream sites.
I went to see Megalopolis. More weird than good, sadly. I also went to see The Irishman because I wanted to see it on a big screen during it's limited release. It was a on a fucking shitty 20ft screen. Also saw the dogshit Sopranos prequel, unfortunately. I do wish they would re-show more older films. They would actually attract crowds. I've watched re-showings of the first three Star Trek films, 2001, Seven, and It's a Wonderful Life.
>Hell do you even like watching movies?
Not this modern shit, and capeshit.

>be me
>Take a girl on a movie date
>smuggle a full pizza pie into the movie theater under a leather jacket.
>Guy checking tickets is literally asleep. I over prepared. Didn't even need a ticket.
>Walk out with the box in hand.
>Cleaning crew look at me and and say "how did you.... you know what. good for you."

>Two years later
>Plan to go to movie with friends
>Brother brings home a box full of giant pretzels from his job.
>Butter and cook them all.
> tape them to straps and wear them like ammunition.
>Go to a opening show at night this time.
>Too many people to check, once again, over preped.
>Literally dying from prezal heat.
>security right next to our seats.
>Wait for them to leave.
>Immediately throw prezel granades while the coast is clear.

>Minecraft movie comes out.
>don't see it because I'm not a child.
>Watch the choas videos and feel like I'm missing out.
>Sell a chicken.

There is no other reason to be in this place. It's like live concerts, I will always hear the song best at home. I will always watch the movie best at home. Running around like a mad man and breaking rules is all these places offer.
