creating useful terms is cool and all but nuance is lost on 95% of retards so a lot of people out there will see someone being moderately self-interested and call them a narcissist or something and completely devalue the term as a classifier for someone with a pathological degree of the behavior. it's most helpful to establish and stick to very well-defined categories for things like high degrees of abuse while acknowledging that shitty people can be shitty in muddled ways that we don't need to neatly box.
