This is so weird, I just re-watched Taxi driver a few nights ago, the time before that was probably over twenty years ago.

I was going to say something about your taste in cinema, but I'm most likely decades older than you and for all I know the film might seem terribly dated to young people. Also, if you've only ever seen stills from the movie where Travis Bickle is brandishing guns you might have gone into it thinking it was going to be like a John Wick action movie, which it certainly is not. It's far more of a slow burn, chronicling a young social outcast and his descent into madness.
Re-watching it I couldn't help but think that nowadays Travis would probably be categorized as an autist, and probably also called an incel. For those reasons, and for it's themes of loneliness, frustration and anger I imagine it would resonate with a lot of young men on this board.
