Its a tale as old as time. People who are selfish and self-centered never have kids but they try to influence other kids. A lot of young people are "liberal" as long as they have been indoctrinated by some liberal asshole, and most grow out of that influence. And people who are more family and community oriented have a lot of their own kids and tend to let their kids explore the world for themselves.
