Losing a game makes me spiral into depression and it feels like I cant win anything at all in life. Everything I try turns out to be a loss.

play gears of war reheated microwaved leftovers in 3 weeks, we're all 30yo boomers in the nursing home trying to relive the glory days of 2006 so you will win very easily and feel good about yourself

Losing a game makes me furious
And I channel that fury into making the opponents in the next game suffer.
Every loss only makes me stronger as my fury has a multiplicative stacking effect
If I lose enough games in a row I'm 100% guaranteed to pubstomp a lobby.

I still like playing alpha centauri but it's actually tricky to get running on windows. Basically you need Linux because it's from the time games were still fun. And it's turn based vs ai strategy so you can easily put it down and read for a bit or do the dishes without feeling like you're missing something. If you're a lorefag it goes pretty deep. I remember when I first got it the manual was basically a whole book.
Idea is you're a multinational colony ship and you are to establish a population on a new planet. There's multiple factions you can play as. Chinese George Droid borg, Ali Ackbar world peacekeeper, Redhead Christian Nationalist chick, Black man robber baron, Warmonger brown girl(copy paste of George Droid minus the borg angle), Euphoric Russian fedora tipper science nerd, and Deanna Troi but she's Ted Kaczynski. There's multiple victory conditions, you have to manage your own citizens as well as relationship with the other factions. Wage war by economy, terraforming, espionage/sabotage, good old fashioned blowing up bad guys, and more. The story unfolds with a really cool angle I don't want to spoil, but there's a lot going on.

Great game and absolute underated. I love the point when you fight a total war against the human and alien enemys and the fuckin' planet itself. My other fave is Master of Orion 2

>losing a game
Same here, I can't play competitive games for 2 reasons
>the matchmaking system sentencing you to a 50% winrate no matter how you good you get (unless genuinely in like the top 10 guys worldwide) means you are in purgatory forever. impossible to maintain a winning record
>i wind up literally Practicing and Studying the game on a level far, far beyond the amount of effort games are worth

I don't care about losing, I know my level, I only care about losing to shitters that then think they really did something
>>82044839
I tried that it doesn't seem worth playing
