have you ever had Indian food? It's often very rich and full of layered flavors. Most of it is very good but there are some acquired flavors and spice levels no different than any other cuisine. I can't remember all the dish names but find a good restaurant and go for a buffet or westernized style platter compared to traditional. It's easy to be overwhelmed so just tell your waiter it's your first time and what spice you can tolerate.
