Because it is evolutionarily beneficial, the energy cost of judging every person individually does not outweigh the benefit of the somewhat increased accuracy of that judgement, compared to generalizing.

Everyone's so judgemental, racist and mean. My bf was born in Israel and moved here when he was 5. People say all this racist shit to him but it's fine because Israelis are evil people or something.
