I did and it was miserable. Bunch of rich white orthodontists' kids who made horrible friends. Had qt3.14 hapa swimmer gf last two years of high school but I could have done that with any sport tbdesu.
Switched over the figure skating (and some other sports) and enjoy it a lot more.

Where I grew up hockey was not popular at all with anyone my age and there were hardly any youth teams around. Sad because of all the sports I have delusions about potentially having gone pro in I do think I could have been really good at hockey.
