I am one of these girls, it takes a fuck ton of effort, for example:

>I count calories on days I don't fast
>I take like 40 pill stack of vitamins/supplements to have perfect skin/hair/etc
>I take ice baths
>I have to wax certain areas which hurts.
>I spent like 3 hours grooming, putting on make up, preparing outfits, etc
I spend more time combing my hair then you probably do cleaning yourself.

No, I just want a loving irl boyfriend who is devoted to and obsessed with me. All of my pretty friends have had bfs and guys who treated them right, but I've been on the sidelines watching all my life. My first ever crush was in middle school, when I was finally building up self confidence after being bullied throughout all of elementary. He acted so infatuated with me, and the below bare minimum was enough to make me happy with him, only for him to turn around and entertain then date one of the prettier girls in class that was my old friend and treat her 10x better.

I know how you feel anon. I used to go out to parties with a couple other girls and I was always the odd one out in terms of looks. I would put makeup on, do my hair, plan my outfits but always ended up being the worst looking. Im also really into fashion but sometimes its hard for me to wear what I want because I dont want to look like im trying too hard. Like I dont deserve to dress up. I hate it but, at the end of the day I know my situation could be a lot worse, and I try to enjoy life despite it.
