An immortal alien makes fake political events and fake lawsuits. He writes all the news articles himself. Becuz of how shit my life was, I am assuming he is scamming us and that he is not merely doing it to create a world like he has suggested.

And you want to kill the containment board and let it infect the rest of the body.
When can we have a containment board for raceshit? I'm so fucking tired of hearing about race. It's like race is all these americunts ever think about.

Surprisingly the website used to learn more left/libertarian. There seemed to be a shift around 2012ish around Obama's second term where the joke racism of the website turned to real racism.

The site shut down the original /news/ board to try and cull this and it backfired. They brought it back as /pol/ and now we have what we have.

4chan was never "left", it was purely anarcho-retardism. There was no political ideology beyond "I want to have easy orgasms and access to illegal materials". It was sophomoric edginess and contrarianism for its own sake.

"Containment boards" are a stupid concept and don't work. They literally just attract the thing they were meant to contain.
/pol/ made 4chan more political.
/lgbt/ made 4chan more trans.
/mlp/ is the only one that kind of "worked" only because pony content is banned on other boards.

in old school politics, anarchism is the most right wing government possible. left and right used to mean where you sat next to napoleon

Anarchism is generally understood to be left wing these days and in the past. I think you're mixed up, right wing was monarchism back then too. The monarchists sat to the right of the king (not Napoleon).

Being anarcho-retarded is entirely about the rejection of social concepts like ideology. It's an anti-ideology. Nobody would have called themselves "leftist" on 4chan in 2006, they would have just asked you to upload cheese pizza or kill yourself.
Anonymous No.82060413 >>82060422
>>82060389
"leftist" and "left" are different things. The former implies socialist or communist, the latter just means a left wing ideology. You cannot reject ideology because rejection of ideology IS an ideology. Old 4chan was anarchist and anarchism is left wing since it rejects hierarchy, tradition, and power structure while right wing ideology embraces and strengthens hierarchies, tradition, and power structures. It doesn't matter if no one would call themselves left, their prevailing ideas were left in nature. And for what it's worth, I was here around then and I doubt either of those responses would have been made. It was a significantly weirder place than that and still had a lot of influence from Something Awful.

Do chimps or dogs reject ideology? Ye olde /b/ users rejected ideology in the sense that they simply lacked the ability to have an ideology, much like beasts.

>Is it true that 4chan used to censor racism and tried to kill off /pol/?
Yes. Not because Moot wanted to spare people's feelings or be politically correct.

There's a certain type of scum that is attracted to racism, not for lulz, but it's their entire reason for existing. The Klan, Stormfront, Neo-Nazis, whatever you call them they're different slices from the same low IQ pie.

On an anonymous message board that doesn't really police its users you can't suddenly have thousands of people spreading an agenda around the clock, non stop. It can't effectively be policed without turning this into a 90s style Log-In with your username forum, which goes against 4chan's spirit.

You have to nip that shit in the bud, and bless Moot he tried but once it took hold there was no off-switch to send them back. The damage was done and 4chan was a "racist uncle" website one day and that was that. Moot was right to bail.

Yes but after a certain point they just kinda gave up lol. That point was actually pretty early on in 4chan's existence, maybe 2006 or so. Then certain "shitposty" behaviors became generally accepted as long as they were relegated to specific boards, namely /b/, but even that kinda went out the window by ~2013. Now all the boards are shitholes.

moot created a huge problem by not leaving /pol/ as a containment board but moving threads from hobby boards there if they touched on the politics of their respective industries
Did an awful lot to help the /pol/ crowd recruit alienated and disillusioned people towards their brand of hate

You're pic isn't correct either.
Old 4chan didn't have the constant trans hate, sure, but it also wasn't some kind of trans haven.
Most of the time your kind were treated either as a fetish or something funny to laugh about.

It's hilarious how AGP newfags latched onto old anime as if everyone back then watched it because they also had AGP (They don't even understand that "trans" was just a genre of porn back when lucky star aired), literal revisionist history.

It wasn't even called trans porn back then. It was almost always called either trap or shemale porn. All the major porn sites only changed the category name from shemale to trans around 2018 I think.

technically they always have and cleaned off a few boards back over ten years ago. /pol/ and /r9k/ came back short after they were removed. r9k was because Moot was a hypocrite for his reason to get rid of it and became aware of it, pol was just the fact that it's better to have a place to send all the nuts. It's the same reason /trash/ exists too.

it's not so much for containing in the traditional sense as a means to move threads and out trouble makers. A good amount of off topic threads just get shifted to other boards and unlike banning doesn't have the same reaction from the posters/OP, but also now when some clown on a /v/ post a geopolitical event and goes "games with this feel?" there is no question what he is doing. Rules are indeed made to be broken, but it's for the arbiter of those rules to act with extreme prejudice on said rule breakers.

also I disagree, /lgbt/ and /pol/ made no major shift in how anons here post and think, if anything it just outed trouble makers easier. Everyone knows what they are doing.
