Protein
I'm 260 pounds. If it's true that you have to eat one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight then I would have to eat 260 grams of protein. I'm a fat fuck looking to lose weight and build muscle but how am I supposed to eat that much protein? Were the Europeans onto something with one gram of kilo per body weight? And yes I am American and yes I'm fat because I can afford to eat.

That's for bodybuilders on gear. 1 gram per kilo is more reasonable. You should focus on weight loss first and muscle building second. Protip: legumes have lots of protein and are very nutritionally dense

I thought it was 1g of protein per kg of bodyweight, which comes out to 1g per like 2.5 pounds of bodyweight or some shit

The thing is protein is so filling. I know it sounds ironic that a fat fuck like me is complaining about being too satiated but protein fills me up. If I ate 260 grams I would probably get really constipated.

1g per pound of your goal weight. I'm guessing you don't want to be 260 pounds.

It's supposed to be 1 gram of protein per lb of LEAN body weight. So, find out your ideal body weight based on your height and try to eat around that many grams of protein. For example I'm 205 lbs right now but I had a dexa scan and know that my lean body mass is only about 150 lbs so I try to eat 150 grams of protein so as to retain muscle while losing weight.

you literally just need to eat less for a while first so you can go from being a fat retard to just a retard. it is far easier to gain back some muscle weight than it is to attempt to keep any that your limbs have built up from attempting to lug your disgusting blob of a body around. add exercise too, but don't worry at all about building muscle until your weight is under control. You don't mention height but you are most likely in permanent damage to yourself territory being that fucking fat

you can probably stand to lose much more than 40lbs unless you are like 6'6.

That's a pretty normal weight for your height. Your bmi is only 27. That's not fat as fuck. Idc what bmi says, that's not fat. I'm fat as fuck. You are I drink a couple of beers after work fat.

lmfao bro you are in denial. I was 260 at one point too and thats obese. Im looking to get to about 170, a normal and healthy weight for my size. You are obese. You will still be fat at 220. You need to set your goals lower.

Btw sweet tea or even half and half tea does NOT count. It has to be unsweetened tea, no additives.
Black coffee is ok too.

it's per amount of GOAL bodyweight a healthy (probably lower) bodyfat %.
so if you're fat it's less per kilo.
the point is to eat enough protein to not lose muscle mass, if you have little muscle mass you don't have to.
and if you're not actively looking to gain it's also less. it depends on how active you are if it's 1g per 500g or per 1000g.

also if you eat more protein, that comes with calories, so that means less sugar pasta rice etc..
