Ive been thinking so hard about this lately. Everyone completely misses the part where yes, you can le bootstrap yourself up, yes you can le improove and le grow, by yourself that. You can do all these things, but nothing will ever change that you had to work 5x as hard as anyone else to get a fraction of what they were born with. Do you ever wondered how people snap and go postal? What good is "love" when you bled and cried and hurt so hard for so long only for your calls for help being ignored? It is a pyrrhic victory at best, a self-imposed torture and life sentence at worst.

You are not who you think you are. Identity isn't fixed, its a feedback loop of habits, roles, beliefs, and repeated stories. You shape who you are by what you do repeatedly not who you wish you were.

Ultimately, I think it's impossible to really grow without experience. That's why everyone is stuck. You can't grow as a person without relationship experience.

Your mind lies to you constantly. You're not a passive observer of reality you are a narrator and you constantly invent stories that seem true but are built on cognitive biases, emotional residue, and post wounds. (Your single limited perspective, biases, and emotional residue).

You are wired for emotions but built to regulate it. Mental health comes from identifying, holding and using your emotions, not be hijacked by them....

Then put yourself in a social situation that reqires you to talk with people. I was on service where you have to work with all kinds of people and found a girl that adopted me and it was easy to practice on her. I'm not saying something as extreme as join the Army, but maybe a hobby group will help. Or a job.
