Are tech bro billionaires pushing religion so that when they make everyone unemployed via automation people won't try to resist being made to starve to death on the promise they'll go to heaven?

That was the scam since day 1. "Don't worry about the bad people, just be good and you'll be rewarded and they'll be punished... after death of course."

nearly all the religions mandate punishment for the bad people in this life.

I guess the new modern religion of leftism is the only exception though. They tend to view criminals as oppressed and that you shouldn't punish them.

most tech bro billionaires are in the modern leftist religion though

this is HIGHLY doubtful. "Libertarian technocrats" would not donate to Kamala harris at the massive clip they did.

Leftists view it as class struggle with the rich being bad and poors being good. Poors commit the most crime but they're good people ergo they only commit the crime because of the conditions the rich impose on them. They do the same with race and gender so white men are in charge meaning they're the enemy and queer black transwomen are the good guys. It's a coherent world view even if it's reductive and stupid. It's not a religion any more than any political ideology is religion though.

Were you not around back then? The prevailing culture was very progressive and the loudest voices were from the left. That's why all those companies had Pride floats and were putting transgender people into ads. Now the prevailing culture is not progressive and all those companies are distancing from Pride, transgender people, DEI, etc. Corporations just do what they think will make money.

So half the country voted for Trump, and half the country voted for Biden in 2020
They banned Trump off all their platforms, and the half of the country that voted for him felt like these platforms were antagonistic to people like them, so they stopped using those websites
How did this make the corporation more money? What do you mean by "that is simply capitalism" when you are acting in such a way you will lose half your customers?

Donald Trump won more votes in 2020 then Kamala Harris won in 2024
He's been pretty consistent over the last 3 elections in terms of support, it was just there was millions of mail in ballots that came in for Biden at 3am

Look at Target, they went all in on woke stuff, there was a backlash from the conservatives, they walked away from it, and then there was a backlash from the progressives. They lost some conservative customers from doing that and a ton of progressive customers and are now doing fairly poorly just look at their stock. Corporations do things like this a lot where they have a knee jerk reaction to something and end up worse off for it. You're acting like they carefully planned things out and that's not the case. They just thought they would make more by virtue signalling to one side or the other and ended up being wrong. Also none of these companies lost half their customers, even Target which is probably the worse off from all this only got hit for like 1% of revenue. Most people don't give a fuck about any of this regardless of who they voted for.

Within a state land doesn't vote and even within the EC population matters to some extent.
