I've worked with women for several years and became friends with a couple. Alongside that, I've asked female aquaintances and family members.
The response was pretty unanimous, short was not good. Some HAD dated short guys, but it was generally not an experience they looked back on fondly.
Even my 64 year old mother was quite direct about it, a short man would have been unacceptable.
That said, "short" can mean different things to different women, and I dont think its truly over until we're talking like 5 foot 5 and below.
