I just come from a point of view where I've watched friends go from one turbulent and unhappy relationship to another just because they cant stand being single for more than a couple of months and they werent any happier for it. Spent more time and beer on comforting friends after a failed relationship than I care to add up.
Yeah, sure, being on /r9k/ means you're not chad thundercook and girls line up to get on the ride that is you, but it works the other way as well. It means you wont become some clingy cuck that desperately seeks validation from any girl who gives him the time of day. You get to be a bit more realistic about what you want out of a relationship, not just go chasing a replacement mommy for whatever emotional void you have inside you.
