I just come from a point of view where I've watched friends go from one turbulent and unhappy relationship to another just because they cant stand being single for more than a couple of months and they werent any happier for it. Spent more time and beer on comforting friends after a failed relationship than I care to add up.

Yeah, sure, being on /r9k/ means you're not chad thundercook and girls line up to get on the ride that is you, but it works the other way as well. It means you wont become some clingy cuck that desperately seeks validation from any girl who gives him the time of day. it's not that big of deal, other than maybe some confidence in yourself and having something true to talk about in a cocktail party or advice giving setting. If it's not worth it to you, having had a gf once or twice is enough for you to coast for like 10 years. For me I am not really interested that much in getting another girlfriend, I just kinda miss my ex and jerk off for my needs. I think I might have actually felt a bit lonelier in a relationship than I do now
