An oversimplification for what police unions lobbied against.

Bingo
The government and police have proven repeatedly they cannot be trusted and the "presumption" that a police account or accusation is fact is dumb.
You have to keep in mind, the role of the police is MEANT to be adversarial to the citizens. When they say "anything you say can and will be used against you" what they leave out is that it will be purposely twisted and interpreted in the worse possible way to fit the governments narative.
We're reaching a critical breaking point between government and citizens as Government considers it a crime to lie to them even by accident, while they feel they are under no obligation to be honest with you, inform you of your rights, and encouraged to overstep as much as they can get away with.
Brianna Taylor comes to mind. Was she a peace of shit? Probably. But lying to obtain a warrant than going in no knock style and getting surprised you end up in a shoot out cause you busted into some hood niggers house without announcing yourself is just asking for trouble.
>but her bf was a drug dealer
I rather have a retarded drug dealer sell drugs to retards than me having to hope I gues right when someone breaks in my house they aren't a cop who made up shit to get a warrant.
