I say fuck it and get a 138 result by guessing when the questions get like this.
Either this is the best example possible to convince me IQ is conceptually flawed and the tests aren't reliably measuring one single attribute, or you're lying about it being an 85 threshold question. It's probably the latter.

This is one of the harder ones of that test, most likely only for 115+ to get it with some time. These IQ tests are really only accurate to let you know if you're above 115 or you're average. The actual scores beyond that aren't accurate at all.

Best test to take is the tri52/jcti. No matrices, just pure patterns and fluid intelligence. (I scored 128iq) Which I'm fine with since my grandpa was 122 from the military so it makes a lot of sense.

It's A because the position of the black dot stays the same on the diagonals, and examining the columns from top to bottom shows that the two white dots move clockwise (they can be obscured behind the black dots in this way)

Ya it was a free Mensa online IQ test with a bunch of pattern questions like this one. It said I was 135+ after answering all of them. I also got tested as a child (I don't remember it) at a psychiatrist and my abusive mother has always said I'm high IQ ever since but I'm skeptical of that because she has Fetal alcohol syndrome herself and her and my father are NPD retards that have been poor dumbasses with their entire lives. I just consider myself ordinary and maintain high skepticism because most people are stupid.

Anonymous No.82090048 [Report] >>82090313
>>82089946
Yeah the mensa online ones are pretty overinflated, but realistically in a practical setting 10-15 points off + or - hardly makes a difference. The average 100iq person can struggle and learn up to calc 3~ if they really put in the effort. And most problems in most jobs and in life are so simple that your IQ doesn't really mean shit. Also, you can absolutely make stupid decisions and have stupid beliefs if you don't actually properly utilize your head.

It's more important the lower you are under 100, because the world is built around the average person, and it just gets harder and harder to live in this world the lower you are.

It's a lot to type it out but read table left to right first row then second row then third and follow the movement of the white dots and black dots while observing the deletion pattern at the bottom in step progression. The pattern moves from each panel counter clockwise.
Anonymous No.82090166 [Report] >>82090185

Not him but black dots just have two positions and it's. 2-1-1. Same spots. OP has it flipped, but still the same.

In the first box top left, imagine placing a little pin in the white dot on the top left and attach the other white dot by a string. pretend they're cut-outs. Put your finger on the right white dot and drag it around counter clockwise until it ends up under the black dot. Now put the pin in the white dot that's now under the black dot and drag the top left white dot (that originally was in place from the pin), around again. It can't pass the black line in the center so you always just stop when you hit the black line.

Just repeat this multiple times, black dots are floating hire than the white dots so they go underneath. Think of it like a grappling hook and the white dots have to swing around and not cross the black line.

ah yeah it's A. Black dots are easy to realize as they stay the same on diagonal. The white dots rotate through the six positions from left to right skipping two each time and are obscured by the black dots. The obscuring part fucks it up so much
Anonymous No.82090258 [Report]
Also raven matrices are kinda memes since someone who has taken some math courses or works with matrices will be used to them and see patterns more easily. And there are a bunch of tricks they always use like adding or subtracting rows, rotation (like here) and other things.

But basically just play around with things in your head, no matter how stupid it might seem. Move stuff around, take it off the paper, make it 3d, add/subtract, pretend it's a game, whatever.

I thought maybe there was some kind of reflection though across the black line.

I had a toxic family, horrible community and a bad public education. I had a angry ranting white liberal dyke as my high school math teacher which tells you plenty about how my education went. For some reason I always got the worst nutcase people possible for Math and English teachers. The environment you develop in makes a huge difference to your life trajectory. If I had good parents and a non-retarded useless public education I'd probably be a smarter more successful person. I always found the idea of having a exact genetic clone and see how he would turn out in ideal circumstances what he would be like and what he would be fascinating. Like being MGS Big Boss all battle worn down and meeting a young Solid or Liquid Snake of myself. There's probably tons of people that would do much better with actually good starting circumstances.

C because from what I can gather about the pattern: we have two different examples of patterns where it shows a black dot and then it has the white circled dots go around the black dot to complete a circle. C is the only one that hasn't been completed and follows the rules of: When it's going round (not connected to the dots) the two dots that follow each other are directly connected and not separate (which you can see is literally what happens on the others) and the other ones that might've been applicable are already used (such A and D).

Not that this is much of a pattern, but I'm guessing A based on the pattern of the circles that don't have any square around them: there is a pattern in each row of 2 circles appearing at the same area and then moving up or down depending on the original location of the two black dots. The only answer where a black dot STILL appears and erases the original box that had a dot (which is what happens in all the other areas where it appears) is A so...

A is correct. The pattern is the following, when looking at the rows:
Take the first and the second image, put them over each other. If they overlap, mirror to the other side, otherwise disappear. And it applies to both the squares and the dots.

I've illustrated it on the first row. The overlaps are colored. Rest disappears.
