There's not much to do at the polar research station at the moment; the actual scientists are working on papers, with varying degrees of diligence, but if nothing breaks, you probably don't have to do anything until the next supply flight arrives.
picrelated (one of the researchers) has been taking to you more recently, asking about your life back home. She's more than a bit stinky, as water for washing is strictly limited.
What do you do?

This is a small station, with kerosene generators; there's not enough energy to heat that much water.

I know this is your fetish thread but I was curious and
>In short, the seawater is pressurized, then forced through a fine membrane. This process allows only pure water through
I dont think it takes any energy.
But to indulge you, Id ask to smell her pits to make sure she isnt sick or something. And sniff her feeta ofcourse.

>Kerosene generators
Can't they just place windmills there or is the cold and snow a huge problem for it

They're high in an Antarctic mountain range, no sea, no seawater.

>>82099706
They do that at the big stations.

That would be the stupidest location for an outpost. So going by that logic, it probably exists.

y tho?
There must be stuff worth studying in the mountains that doesn't exist at sea level.

I think they'd just have balloons for observation and for samples they could make the occassional trek. If anything happens in that remote a place you're just dead. It's why the actual remote has a few things like a doctor.

They need a reason to burn the thousands and thousands of dollars thrown for "research"

They can just do that spending it on bananas or oranges that need to be transported. Getting one barrel of gas there is a couple tens of thousands in transportation alone

no way it's almost like they're burning thousand and thousands of dollars

That doesn't occur at freezing temperatures, you have to melt the ice. And that takes energy one way or another

god id be genuinely insufferable on an arctic research station, got quals to actually go (if I really wanted although its quite popular so harder competition) and if i were to it'd just be
>haha omg have u seen the thing 1982?
>guys this totally is like the thing 1982
>bros whats our favorite scene from the thing 1982
>this reminds me of this one scene from the thing 1982
>did you know in the thing 1982 kurt russel almost blew himself up
>yooo guys wanna watch the thing 1982 again
>so fellas who do we think was the thing at the end of the the thing 1982 childs or macready?
>hypothetically lids if one of us was the thing rn what would you do?
>anyone wanna play the thing 1982 board game *again*?

Don't get cute with me. It's not as if spending is unlimited either.
>In 2023 a research report from an Australian team found that the pollution left by international research stations was comparable to that seen in some of the busiest ports in the world
It's also bad for the sites they study in general, cant imagine how much worse it is for an even more remote mountain location.
>>82100129
It's the seawater they take anon, it literally is at a temperature where it doesnt need to thaw for it to become liquid, it already is liquid.

ever since i was a kid i've always wanted to be stuck in a situation like this. like i'm trapped in a spaceship or a nuclear bunker or something and all i can do is sit there with my provisions.

in this situation i would probably cum in her to be quite honest with you.
