to be honest i took the pill yesterday and slept for 4 hours, woke up, was awake for a few hours then slept like 13 hours over night.
my anxiety has completely waned, its actually quite shocking. I feel like myself again which is weird because the psych told me it takes 2 weeks to kick in. I completely ruined my life over the past few years but right now I feel really chill.
Thanks for asking, I wonder how long this good feeling will last

Hey anon, I've been suicidal & probably depressed for years. I haven't ever gone to a psych or therapist about this, I haven't talked about it outside of being an anon.

>Do anti-depressants help?
>How do they make you feel?
>Are you happier?
>Is life easier?
>Are you less tired?
>Does it bring color into the world or just make everything grey.

If you want lasting effects it's important to also pursue lifestyle change: eat better, exercise, find hobbies, do anything other depression stuff.

i was just in the psych ward for severe suicidal ideation, i understand my friend.
psychs are kind of retarded though sometimes, not all but ive been told i wasnt depressed before by a psych and i was waking up at 10 pm every night, drinking and gaming for 12-14 hours then going to sleep. you can find the right one. i would suggest at least trying the medication to see if it helps you
>Do anti-depressants help?
this isnt my first time taking mirtazapine and i cant lie this is the best medication i have ever taken.
>How do they make you feel?
it makes me feel like myself again.
>Are you happier?
noticably which is strange because i was told it takes 2 weeks to kick in. i feel calm right now.
>Is life easier?
yes, even after a big life event i fucked up
>Are you less tired?
more. i woke up exhausted today.
>Does it bring color into the world or just make everything grey.
right now i feel so relieved. my tone has changed completely.

Ive started taking them and my cold rock heart craves for love and affection now, like I'm not even horny anymore I just want a girlfriend to love and hug, I wasn't like this wtf and the irony is that, it hurts MORE to have these feelings and not being able to fulfill them
Anonymous No.82101390 >>82101572
Stop taking them. They destroy your brains ability to regulate your emotions for life. Not to mention the weight gain, anhedonia and sexual dysfunction. Do not go down this path. Join the gym, whatever. Do not give your body up to these satanic pills.

I'm glad it works for you anon. I can't imagine my life without antipsychotics.

>weight gain, anhedonia and sexual dysfunction
arent they meant to fix all of that? like at least i think thats the case for sertraline

I myself and five other people I know had all of those on sertraline, and I also had it on every SSRI or SNRI I ever took, along with the other ones like mirtazapine. They're all fucking garbage. Do not take any of them. Psychiatrists will lie to you about side effects until it's too late.

SSRI side effects are well known and generally disclosed and monitored by the prescribing psychiatrist. The side effects are also typically very mild. You had a bad experience, but that's not the norm.

all sertraline did was make me last longer ease my anhedonia and make me lose weight so idk
