You gotta keep at it for a while, many times you'll post and get nothing or sparse results, occasionally you'll get good results. Personally I don't post in every thread, every other time my country's thread comes up I'll drop a post, I don't want to do it so much that I become one of those recognizable spammer types.

Brotip: don't post saying you're looking for women, just say you're looking for friends, people to talk to, etc. Women are way more eager to add people who don't say they're looking to date, but usually the women actually are looking to date and they'll move the conversation on to that stuff on their own. As far as getting added by men, you can chat with them, maybe you meet some cool online friends more often you have one conversation and just unadd them later.

The problem is I'm Incapable of talking to women through a Platonic lens with eventually growing some kind of attraction to them no matter how hard I try. The whole reason I went to /soc/ was so I could kinda practice just that rather than constantly going in with a "I want to date this person" mindset. Problem is that even when I bit it off with them they eventually just stop responding and I'm left thinking I did something wrong. I've met some girls there that I got as far as playing games with and VCing for hours over a few days and then BAM gone. Just starting to feel like it isn't worth bothering anymore and I should go back to hermit mode
