i don't know. but i have been in a constant back and forth between watching the Incredibles and the Incredibles 2 this past week. i think i understand better what people mean by "comfort show" or whatever. also i never knew until recently that goku's voice actor sings the intro to dragon ball z kai. or that the z kai intro sounds like it was inspired by the dragon ball gt japanese intro

I don't like having to follow a story for like 10 years and possibly run into issues with distribution and supply resulting in me missing some of the story.

people do. im reading the absolute line rn and enjoying it and rereading all the old dc comics about the eternals and deadman and all of that weird magical occult side of the DCU that was always my favorite

Spiderman comics is the best example of why I don't read them anymore. They keep trying to maintain the status quo and even cucking with Paul instead of getting him married with kids. It doesn't work. They're just milking the character for profit for 60 years. That's why I read manga. New superheros, new villains, new storylines without any woke politics. I love Frieren.

While popular shonen manga don't have countless reboots like American superheroes comics do, they're also guilty for being milked to the death with the countless prequels, sequels and spinoffs.
