My dad worked 10 hours everyday. My mom was a professor at the university. Their both jobs were stressful but it was upto my dad to pay for everything and he made more money. My mom had more leniency. They both struggled but my dad struggled the most at his job. I'd wager this is the same situation in most middle class homes.
