I lived alone for 1 year to complete a post-baccalaureate medical program and I ate weird meals all the time. I was always depressed and alone. Like 5 months in I started drinking vodka shots straight from the freezer. Would start when I woke up before class or clinical rotations, have 1 with lunch, and drink more when I got home. Now I live with my parents at 25 but they barely charge me rent and I make great income.

Being alone for too long literally kills me because my default state is self-destruction and isolation. It's so hard. I need loved ones in my life to keep me grounded in reality, focused on my goals, and properly socialized. I'm grateful to my parents for letting me do manchild shit and for whatever gods that may be for granting me a girlfriend.

I miss my parents even though it was annoying when they asked me to take out the trash and help with stuff. I have this huge basement apartment and my new job starts in a week but I will die in this silence

Try to make friends in whatever shithole city/town/village you are in right now. Go to a bar/pub if you have to force it. Every time I moved to a new place I'd think "ah this is my chance" but I'd end up isolating myself indoors like usual. Otherwise, you just cope with being isolated with a constant stream of books, TV, video games, etc. Oh and call your parents more often. Even your grandparents if they're still alive. Old people often don't have any friends and want to talk to someone.

what is the issue with any of that?
>i have to make food
you get to eat what you want when you want
i will concede that when cooking for another there is more motivation to try harder but i would be sacrificing health, time, and finances for extra flavour and presentation i'm personally not that bothered about
>clean
just don't be a messy nigger and this is never an issue
staying ontop of cleaning practically removes it as a chore
>go to the store
and buy whatever you want
i leave the house daily so this is easy for me
>and it's completely silent
personally, i'm indifferent to other people's noise but i don't want anyone to hear my noise
being alone means i have privacy and nobody can judge me for being weird
