I hate when people say "passed" instead of "died."

The juxtaposition between the soulless plastic flatscreen tv and the rest of the house's stylized furnishings says everything

14000 was actually pretty expensive for the time, too.

Televisions in the 1970s were real pieces of furniture. My parents had a Rank Arena Colour TV in the 70s exactly like picrel. It had solid wood panelling and sat on a wooden 4 leg stand. I was fucking heavy too.

What decade does this look like it's from?

I want to say thats late 80s. Everythings a little more muted and faux-mature, and that style of wood/glass window furniture was popular then and into the 90s

>BOSE wave radio.
>HD photo quality, no graininess, no orange hue (pic wasn't developed at a photomat)

Photo was taken in the mid 90s at the earliest. Furniture was probably bought in the late 60s/early 70s. The deep wood grain color was fashionable around that time.

I think houses used to look way more personal and warmth back in time. Of course there are exceptions but I've been checking some real estate in my area and everything is white and minimal, which also feels cheap to me. Those places look like an hotel room or straight up a hospital.

I think
houses now are not personalized because they're not a place to live, they're an investment to be rented or sold

Often times these are homes which were previously warm and inviting, but got bought up by someone looking to make a quick buck. Instead of fixing/cleaning it up, they just spank down some vinyl flooring, tear down the wallpaper and paint it neutral inoffensive colors.
I get why they do it, but its really a tragedy. Ikeashit is a necessary evil since nobody can afford anything nice these days.
