Despite what I said above, this is perfectly valid. It's fine for a man to hit on a young woman, and it's fine for the young woman to say no. Ideally, that would be the end of it. All flirtation is simple "hey, are you interested in me?" after all.
The problem with this, and flirtation with women in general, is that women created a culture of "playful refusal" where they deny the man's advances with the desire for him to try ever harder. This is of course, maddening to the women who actually don't want the guy to continue his advances.
It's all entirely predictable.
The reasoning for this divide and breakdown is the introduction of birth control and the allowance of promiscuity. This has allowed the realm of sex to be divorced from the realm of families.
Now, women can date whatever guy without worrying about children, so they date the impulsive and low-inhibition types.
Now, men can treat women however they want, as there's no risk of pregnancy (usually). Why not pump and dump a girl, there's no risk you have to take responsibility for her.
Now, women see a guy who is genuinely nice and that he's not acting like all the other guys so there's probably something wrong with him and where have all the good men gone?!
