Dropped off early after getting distracted cooking. Dinner was quite good, tried some new wine that was interesting, and had a nice evening overall.

>>82131723
>what did you do?
yesterday was most being lazy other than workout. Little video games, anime, and just lazying around.
Today was more productive with yard work
>crazy expensive
I kinda like knives (not creepy at all I know) but this is too true and keeps me off ones I want
>there's still a market for it
old people are everyones favorite market since most have lots of money and no idea what to do with it

>>82131958
> take it easy, pal.
trying to both take it easy and also do more at the same time. Somehow think I'm starting to get there as contradictory as that sounds
>what shows?
only the most normie of mainstream ones I've fallen behind on. Demon slayer latest season (which finally convinced me I don't like this show), jjk season 2(which convinced me I liked this more than I remember), and latest of re zero (which I always liked but season was the weakest but okkay). I'm going to look for something new soon so if you've seen anything would be happy for suggestions
>i dropped it relatively early.
it's relatively short. I'll say if you didn't like it after first 3 episodes, probably won't get better. I sort of like the characterization of characters in it and it's entertaining enough. I got recommended by my brother who is very hard to please so I considered it a strong endorsement.
> keep it up!

> you can make a lot of it at once.
I make it as hot as humanly possible so try not to have so much because eating spicy foods day after day isn't wise even if you can handle it.

i think i know what you mean. some stuff can be done in a chill and recreational way and sadly a lot of us need an excuse to get out of the house these days.

>only the most normie of mainstream ones I've fallen behind on.
people like those for a reason and even the most normie and by the numbers anime beats most other non-anime shows for me.

>Demon slayer latest season (which finally convinced me I don't like this show)
i get you. i watch it, but there's something off putting about it. what's grinding your gears?

>jjk season 2(which convinced me I liked this more than I remember)
i still have to give that another chance. i really liked the first season, but absolutely hate flashbacks that stretch over several episodes, didn't like the artstyle change and don't care about gojo one bit, sooo... tough sell. :/

>I'll say if you didn't like it after first 3 episodes, probably won't get better.
i've just had a very strange gripe with the animation in one if the earlier episodes and i didn't have the emotional stength to look past it that day. i think it was in the first big fight. can't stand 3d cgi animation in anime in general and especially not it fights scenes fuck you, whoever made dorohedoro anime, and when you can't be bothered to not have your main characters weapon clip through the ground like it's a shitty video game, i kinda have to assume that you don't give a shit about the series you're producing and i won't bother with it, either. i know i have to accept that that garbage won't go away anymore, but i want to feel like the people who produced the show actually liked the source material and cared about making it. sorry for the rant. it's a pet peeve of mine and sometimes i throw a show under the bus for a minor grievance like that. this always takes some time to build up and the next offender gets way more hate from me than they deserve.

>I sort of like the characterization of characters in it and it's entertaining enough.
honestly, i didn't even got that far to form any kind of opinion about the stories and characters. i guess modern settings are also just not my favorite. at least in certain genres.

>just need to pick it up with those leg days
just do heavy carries. those build legs like crazy and you don't even need any special day for it. :p

>I make it as hot as humanly possible so try not to have so much because eating spicy foods day after day isn't wise even if you can handle it.
true. my gut doesn't like super hot food anymore anyways, so i usually try to keep it down. doesn't work a lot of the time, but hey. gotta enjoy stuff once in a while without thinking about the consequences. ^^

sounds like a lot more than "just" depression. maybe you can find some solutions that don't require meds online? for now you should probably try to stay calm as possible and deal with the withdrawal as good as you can.

pretty much. I know there's other good stuff out there might be missing, but time constraints these days either way.
> what's grinding your gears?
Just starting to feel it's heavily carried by Ufotable's animation. I do enjoy some of the fights and that alone is good is enjoyable, but the main cast of characters are largely boring and have one trick gags that keep getting repeated and repeated. Even for a shonen, character development is almost non existent. And it tries really hard to be silly in a non funny way during non action segments.
>flashbacks that stretch over several episodes
it was an unusual start for sure. Only 5 episodes and then real season starts and stays good all the way through. Flashback itself I thought was pretty meaningful development by the end
> don't care about gojo one bit
me neither, but it isn't an issue after the flashback section and even then flashback built other characters as well
>what's it about?
i call it the one good isekai. Hard to explain other than that. Has some of the typical isekai cringeiness as well in kinda generic fantasy land, but darker toned and trippy at times
> think it was in the first big fight
that would be the first episode probably then, which honestly that fight wasn't great at all lol. I think that's agreed upon to be the worst of it i believe and the one that gave me pause as well, though still not excusable. I have a feeling no one expected anyone to like this anime as much as it took off judging by many things

only one i always recommend is samurai champloo. in the end everyone just needs to find the sources of entertainment that insult their sensibilities the least.

>Just starting to feel it's heavily carried by Ufotable's animation.
definitely agree. it's very nice to look at. if you ignore the weird proportions of the characters, that is.

>but the main cast of characters are largely boring and have one trick gags that keep getting repeated and repeated.
they're boring at best and completely insufferable at worst. the yellow one in particular. i was considering dropping the series because of him the most. than i watched digimon: ghost game and discovered that the screaming, narcoleptic retard that becomes hyper-competent when unconscious is actually an archetype now. a character who only exists so they can keep him screeching for the whole show with no meaningful progression or lessons learned. fucking hell.

>Even for a shonen, character development is almost non existent.
agreed.

>And it tries really hard to be silly in a non funny way during non action segments.
also true. i'd argue the same for fullmetal alchemist, but man did you need those moments the more the story went on...

>Only 5 episodes and then real season starts and stays good all the way through.
maybe they should have told me somewhere. i was watching the show when it aired and waiting an entire week to watch an episode in an arc i couldn't care less about with no clue when it would end was not very enticing. by the middle of episode two i was seething pretty hard. ^^' only one show that made me madder, i think.

for me that's escaflowne, but take that with a grain of salt. i was like 14 when i watched that.

>Has some of the typical isekai cringeiness as well in kinda generic fantasy land, but darker toned and trippy at times
i'm sure it's fine when you get past the cringe. fought through it watching kpop demon hunters and the movie was alright after i did.

>I have a feeling no one expected anyone to like this anime as much as it took off judging by many things
i think the manga was pretty well received and a lot of people anticipated the show. i didn't care for either, but i just wanted to at least give it a fair chance. turned out it wasn't for me, after all. also not a huge fan of suits, so maybe that influenced my feelings on the show.

>i like loser mc's that you get to see grow honestly so i might be biased
and maybe i'm to much of a loser myself to be drawn to this kind of character. familiarity breeds contempt. or so i've heard. then again, a good character arc is a good character arc.

>until you eat something so hot your stomach is in pain litterally half an hour later and you know you went too far
don't remind me. that's the chicken vindaloo of an indian place near me. love it, but depending on how hot it is, it absolutely kills me. i decided to not eat it anymore. :/
