The logically equivalent formulation of this statement is "if you're good enough for a relationship, you're good enough for a fling". See, that would actually make sense. It's true when describing how men see women. But it's not the same for women. Women actually see the "fling" guys as more attractive than the "relationship" guys. So a fling guy would in the vast majority of cases be someone the woman would love to date, if that is what she's looking for at the time, but a relationship guy may very well not be good enough for a fling. He needs to bring more external things to the table (like commitment) to be considered worthy of granting sexual access to. That's why it's not a privilege to be considered the relationship guy. It's insulting to be called that. But it's degrading in general to date modern women, so you should just have friends with benefits and one night stands. If you're not attractive enough to have that, then just settle for prostitutes. And if you want a relationship that's soothing to your psyche, then just get a therapist. They're going to be much better at it than any girlfriend.
