Being gay means I never know whether I should blame my loneliness on:
a) impossible standards. It's a meat market. If you thought that women only date top 5% men, try gays. Yeah, sure, sex is accessible, but getting a date is not unless you're Chad. None of your life achievements matter, even being rich doesn't work, it's just about looks and fitting into someone's fantasy
b) average man being shit. God fucking Christ, average man is just so dogshit horrible. Once I've seen a comment made by a woman "men need to understand that they don't compete with other men, they compete with my time to sip tea and read books" and this is so fucking true. If I am making clear progress in my life and I have my shit together and so on, and I'm getting approached by a Mexican immigrant who cleans toilets and doesn't even speak English, what kind of future are we supposed to build together?
I think that honestly, people don't like each other. Normies bitch about "lack of third spaces" which is supposedly the reason why people don't socialize, but IMO the actual problem is that again, people don't actually like each other. It's just that through the entire human history they were forced to make bonds out of economic necessity, while nowadays it's perfectly feasible to live without talking to anyone at all.
Life is about gathering resources and using them to reproduce. Well, in nature it's not possible for a single human to survive, so we grouped together with other humans in order to poll resources. When we were already close with each other, sex drive kicked in and we made babies. But when a single person can sustain themselves comfortably, whole thing breaks down. For reference, see how accomplished women tend not to be able to find a partner (because no man will perfectly fill the role of a personal jester and that's the only thing they lack in life), while poor women latch on the first not poor man they see and pop out babies (because the alternative is being poor).
