I work at a hostel and I've working there for a week now. I got a call from a someone asking me if there were rooms available and I told him that there were. Then he came by in person and he was a meth addict but I had already told him there were rooms available

He had a picture of is ID and not his physical ID, and paid in cash (it's allowed) but didn't provide a credit card (this isn't allowed because we need one in the system) but went through the process anyway because I didn't know what to do

I fucked up, maybe they will fuck up the room and when my boss tries to charge them they will realize there are no credit cards attached in the system

How can I deal with situations like this?

There's no sense getting all stressed about it when you don't even know what's going to happen. If he does trash the room, just admit to your mistake. You've only been there a week, they shouldn't fire you over it when you're that new.

I'm assuming op is American as well and American labor laws for most states are essentially lol go fuck yourself, you can get fired at will for any reason at most jobs
