It's attempting to replicate a style the drawer (person who draws, because they're not an artist) does not understand principles. Clone High was done by classically trained professionals and the stylization of that series is in my opinion super impressive but you can see a fundamental difference in skill between what it does and the OP pic. Everyone who worked on Clone High went to art school in probably the 80s and 90s so they 100% went through the process of learning the fundamentals, anatomy, technical skill required to do still life and capturing reality by form rather than by abstract shapes. This drawer definitely didn't go through any of that and instead jumped right into stylizing via osmosis and it looks like shit. if you can't intuit this you just don't have an eye for it sorry
