you're underpaid, overworked, you'll never own a house, your boss makes way more than you do for less work, and his boss makes several times what you do for far less work. To top it all off, you'll never have a girlfriend. Why the fuck would you care about calling off from time to time?

I am well aware that the company doesn't give a shit about me. But I still like doing things the right way. It's not about them. But I guess I am exaggerating... I'll just try to enjoy the extra free time

I get where you're coming from though. Wanting to do the right thing is good, just make sure that you're doing the right thing when it will be appreciated by the right people, and not ignored.

How did I do it? I didn't call off during my first week, first month, first 6 months. You deserve to call off without being hounded if you work hard, aren't showing up high and causing problems. Shit man, you can't destroy yourself for a job that would replace you in a heartbeat.
