>House looks like shit
>Backlog of 3-4 months of homework
>No friends, no gf
>Eat whatever's around
>Money? $50 left in my savings account
But I feel... good?
Content even

Is this detachment from reality? In my mind everything is going great eventhough I see things around me are falling apart

Sounds like you are over stress and have gotten used to your lot in life

That sounds about right, I've been through a lot these past few weeks
And it doesn't help that *I* feel like there's no agency in my life

Nothing's driving me to do better because to me, I'm already at my best eventhough it may not seem so to others

It sounds to me like you are at rock bottom and need to build yourself up
First step is graduating and finishing your school obligations.
Should probably try making friends while you are there and have that opportunity

I needed to hear this
Thanks, anon

I've always had it in me to never compare myself to everyone else around me because at the end of the day we all lead different lives
I guess the truth of reality is that you *should* compare your standards once in a while, see what folks are up to

No it's more like your situation is shit and that is a reflection of your point in life. When you got a white picket fence wife and kids that will be a reflection of your point in life
You need to rise above your current circumstances. Not because you are comparing yourself to other people, but people will examine your stuff to understand you, and you want them to improve your circumstances so they think better of you. They will be less anxious thinking about you

I've never really had that stability in my adult life so far
Time to make it work I guess

So did your parents get divorced? Move around a lot as an army brat? Parent died when you were young?

Knew it
Yeah the same thing happened to me. I used to whine a lot like you did. Especially after COVID because life felt like it was out of my hands again. Life is incredibly frustrating.

Are you "better" now?
I genuinely never expected to live this long. I don't know what to do.
