Basically there was a market for baby monkey torture videos, the first videos surfaced were from southeast asia and they've been promoting their shit there for years without youtube doing anything about it. I believe in 2023 that was when law enforcement finally found out about it and started cracking down on groups and people involved with funding or working with the people that made those videos. Turns out there's a surprising amount of people that like to watch baby monkeys get tortured.
