unless you wrote the interpretor for the web browser you are vibing too dude idk how html and css is interpreted and i dont know how the firefox app im using to read the html and css works or how the c rust c plus plus and javascript compiles the program and i ESPECIALLY am vibing after every update when it could all be changed
all i did was have the ai compile the html and css which i am able to read and know more or less what its doing since i can see it on the screen and if i have a problem with it i can figure out whats wrong just like if i happened to have a bug in firefox and i had to see what part of the code was working incorrectly or if there was an update to fix it (more vibes)
the model got trained to write secure code and i can check the html and css to make sure its accessing secure locations and images and fonts and then i can change things in the html and css and tell the ai why i did these changes and the ai will understand this and suggest ways the html and css could be improved for example i was using flex boxes to put the images in the grid but the ai figured out there are also grid display forms which NOBODY talked about online and they work A LOT BETTER than flex boxes

just keep vibing, man. at least you are having fun.

the good thing is there will be jobs for security engineers when people make
unsecure systems. you won't know because you trust AI too much.

nah cause i spent an hour earlier today troubleshooting flex boxes and none of the pages i went to mentioned css grids its easy to find it from what i just said but i had never heard of css grids and im only now learning these types of html and css
im not shitting you like fifteen different stack overflow pages did not mention css grids and its not what the ai did first either but they work better since flex boxes struggle with consistently displaying things at different screen sizes
if you seriously think new devs cant code since they are vibe coders but they are shipping working code then how are YOU not a shittier vibe coder who doesnt know how to leverage new workflows????? did you write updates for visual studio or make contributions to the python repo and read all of it every time it was changed
their missing foundational knowledge is just as relevant as YOUR missing foundational knowledge devs are just pissed off ai is so good at this

people always made unsecure systems the important thing is not making unsecure systems in safety critical places vibe coding is going to make programming more secure than ever before since ai can test code better than any other technology in the history of programming and it can invent more secure ways of building programs even if its being vibe coded

Serious question. What makes you think that anyone cares about something that you don't even care enough about to do properly?

Well if you never have heard of it you should read through the documentation. It's a lot faster to program when you have a general idea of what you can do. If you have such large gaps in your knowledge I can see why writing by hand would be hard and you would be drawn to vibe coding.

For learning html and css i read through the mdn tutorials and they taught me about all that stuff.

Yeah, random blogspam tutorials are probably shit and won't teach you about everything, probably most of them are ai generated by now anyway

>To quote an incident from work last week. We had a memory leak due to not closing the GRPC stream response observer correctly. Easy enough fix, one line change in the correct place. Developer took code right off Chat GPT (which was hallucinating mind you) and raised a PR. No due diligence on whether it even works, or makes sense when reading the official documentation.
yeah, they're pissed because they have to fix dumb shit. kinda funny not wanting to train juniors is biting them in the ass kek

well im not vibe coding for money and i know it sucks for a lot of things i would not expect it to make correct decisions about formatting rest request for example
but i could ask it and it would probably have a decent perspective

its just html and honestly it looks cleaner than this site

My implementation looks better than tft ngl i dont like what tft did with this effect this season since the models are too complicated

genuinely what the fuck are you talking about how did you come to that conclusion?

comments like these give me hope AI will never replace dev work holy lmfao

>fifteen different stack overflow pages did not mention css grids
nigger I dont even know what to say you are seriously retarded you should link these "fifteen stack overflow pages" or tell us exactly what you googled

your hubris will be your downfall

you will eventually hit a roadblock and realize the pitfalls of AI

i do read documentation but i dont learn as fast when im starting there since im learning ai and html and css i go back and forth with it to figure out whats effective and matters first i would not have given two shits about grids two days ago but today i wanted a way to arrange photos like that more reactively
