My taste in films evolved from comedy to scifi and monster films to zombie survival and post apocalyptic survival and then historic films

Haven't watched that many films in recent years because they are all just ass, like 99% of movies from 2015 forward have been god awful, and even before that there was obvious struggles

With old films, you could pick up any whatever film and there was a certain level of quality that you never went below so there was always a stick enjoyment no matter what you watched, but then in the 2000s that began a steady downfall and by 2020 it's just god-awful slop I could not watch even for free

There are a few good ones sprinkled here and there, but honestly even a mediocre 6/10 old james bond film completely outclasses a 10/10 modern film by a landslide and out of those two I'll most likely rewatch the james bond one multiple times rather than touching the modern film again
