Who do you think was/is the worst president of all time?
>>82180948 (OP)USA there were several
> Wilson> Reagan > Nixon> Trumpdesu most of your presidents are fairly meh anyway
>>82180948 (OP)bush, no question. obama/biden/trump were bad enough but they all did at least some good things and bush set us on the bad timeline. I can respect seeing obama as worse though because he was worse culturally.
>>82181014>bushSeconding this. It's not even close. He makes Jackson look like an American hero.
ALL of our problems can be traced back to 9/11 and his horrible reaction to it, then the eight years of mismanagement and stupidity that followed. Five trillion dollars is just fucking gone. Gone. Did we "win" Operation Enduring Freedom? What did we get? More money than it took to go to the moon and back disappearing into a cloud of smoke? 60,000 US casualties, 400,000 civilian casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan. Absolute goddamned disaster.
Osama Bin Laden hid in a fucking cave for 12 years watching fucking Naruto while we hemorrhaged money and turned airports into East German checkpoints. He won. He fucking dominated us and ruined everything we loved while the most dull witted president ever made everything worse and fucked up the housing crisis too. Everything good in the 80s and 90s got shit on and tossed into the fire by that useless dickwipe.
>>82180948 (OP)Andrew Johnson for utterly failing at reconstruction. Although Nixon, Reagan, Dubya II, and Trump are all just terrible.
People usually hate Nixon because of Watergate but imo it's not that bad for wider societal impact. Especially compared to something like Reagan and his idiotic economical model.
Also, while Bush and his bs were bad, Wilson is the reason American foreign policy is as fucked up as it is because of his interventionism. Not to mention all the KKK crap he enabled
>>82181327I hate Nixon for offshoring all of our manufacturing to China, he's the reason we're even in this mess in the first place.
Why do so many of you robots hate Reagan? He was very popular and did some great things. He basically saved America from the economic crisis of the 1980s and won the Cold War (officially, it ended during Bush's presidency, but by 1989, it had already been won, Gorbachev wasn't planning to start WWIII, only to preserve the Soviet government in some form). He made America the greatest country in the world. Also, he was witty and chill. He was maybe a bit too conservative on some issues, like LGBTQ+ rights and war on drugs, but overall, I'd rate him as one of the greatest US presidents of all time, probably the greatest of the 20th century. He was also one of the greatest political leaders of that century, along with Mustafa Kemal, Konrad Adenauer, and Margaret Thatcher. I'm not American, though, quite the opposite, but to me, Reagan is a hero, a person who set us free and gave us hope. He's definitely better than Teddy, FDR, and JFK (probably the most overrated one, although he wasn't bad). And if I were American, I'd consider myself a Reaganite Republican, so it's painful to watch Trump and MAGA destroy Reagan's legacy and everything the GOP used to stand for.
>>82181360Because long-term Reaganomics made America the fucked up shithole it is today for 90% of the population. Same with Thatcher in UK. The Reagan-Thatcher-Friedman trio is one of the most responsible people for the way world is fucked up economically today.
I personally don't care much for his social policies because I don't care much about LGBT and drugs in general.
And desu I would argue that ending the Cold War wasn't that great desu. It promoted competition and research, plus the fear of commies made Americans actually implement a lot of policies beneficial to workers because they were afraid of commies and wanted to look good.
>>82181360Bad actor turned into corporate shill. He himself wasn't anything, just an empty canvas for Merrill Lynch to paint upon.
>Trump destroy Reagan's legacyThey're cut from the same corrupt cloth. Trump is in essence Reagan 2.0. Goofy public figure turned right-wing mouthpiece with no scruples whatsoever. Trump just lies more overtly and without tact.
>>82181360Genuinely go fuck yourself holy shit
>>82180948 (OP) Worst President hands down was Lyndon Johnson
>>82180948 (OP)Reagan was based because when the AIDS epidemic was genociding the faggots, he literally did nothing.
>>82181411>Trump is in essence Reagan 2.0.How so? Trump is an economic nationalist, whereas Reagan was pro-free trade and pro-economic freedom in general. They both oppose taxes, but Reagan actually lowered them, while Trump is simply replacing them with tariffs, which are essentially regressive sales taxes.
I'm not saying that Trump is evil incarnate, as some people believe. Some of his actions during his first term actually made sense to me, but now he's doing a terrible job, aside from the recent Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal, which was a great step towards stability in the Caucasus region.
Franklin DeLano Roosevelt.
Did a lot of short term solutions that really fucked everyone over in the long term. Plus he got us involved in WW2 when it truly wasn't our fight
>Pearl Harbor
Wouldn't have happened if we weren't sending weapons and materiel to the Allies and the Russians. Not to mention that helping the Russians helped to bolster the forces of Communism, which we spent the next 4 decades shitting ourselves over.
>>82181440> Permanently fucked up majority of the population because of his idiotic economic policy that favoured the ultra rich and helped them get richer and effectively destroyed the middle class> Didn't do anything for 1% of population I hate> BasedJesus, I hate modern political discourse
>>82180948 (OP)Trump and Bush tie for worst place for me.
>>82181481The only people who really suffered from Reagan were the niggers on welfare and druggies
>>82181461"pro free-trade" aka encoded language for "anti-regulation", the damage Reagan did to unions on behalf of corporate America set back American laborers 50 years. He literally snuffed out the American dream and set us on this path to fascism.
Now Trump is rounding up Home Depot handymen because we still think they're "taking our great jobs" when in reality those jobs are a distant memory, made great by labor unions from the 1920s and 30s.
Deception, lies, and smokescreen for corporate interests to gut our rights and everything we fought for from 1880-1940.
>>82181511Unions were literally invented by marxists to infiltrate society and create chaos.
>>82181511>He literally snuffed out the American dream and set us on this path to fascism. You could not be more hyperbolic if you attempted to.
Fascism is the buzzword that immediately notifies me of someone who shouldn't even be taken seriously.
>>82181490I don't have a pension and neither do you if you work in the private sector (90% of jobs) directly because of Reagan, just because you're a retard who would cut off his nose to spite his face doesn't mean that Reagan didn't harm you.
>>82181520Without unions you'd be at the bottom of a mine with no OSHA equipment working for pennies until the mine was no longer profitable and the owner caved it in with you inside so you couldn't collect your last paycheck.
If you think the relationship between the owning and laboring classes is bad now, please look at it from the start of the industrial revolution until about 1931. Why do you think you have breaks, lunches, vacations, sick pay, unemployment, etc? Because one day capitalists were like, "Hey, our expendable laborers deserve more nice things from us."?
>>82181522>Muh buzzwordWe have a criminal president who imagines himself above the law that is espousing nationalism and racial fear. He is sending people to secret prisons without due process. He just invested 150 billion dollars into militarizing masked goons who abduct people off of the street. I don't know what you want me to call it.
>>82181466>Plus he got us involved in WW2 when it truly wasn't our fightYeah turning America into a global superpower sure was a big mistake. I wish he hadn't done that. America totally came out of the second world war so much worse off.
>>82181618>turning America into a global superpower sure was a big mistake.Sending millions of our young men to die and beginning the trend of women joining the work force was indeed a fuckup. And what does America being a "superpower" do for the average American? Many of us live paycheck to paycheck whilst wealth disparity, wage stagnation, and inflation have only sharply increased since the end of WW2. Our birth rates have fallen and our country imports shitskins en masse to replace our declining population
Go fuck yourself, retard.
>>82181669>I think things are bad here so they can't be worse anywhere elseOh so you're retarded, I see.

>>82181411People's 80's nostalgia was so strong that they elected another Reagan
>>82181618Tbh peak timeline would be if they didn't involve themselves in the First world war.
Then Central Powers would probably win which means no WWII, no Cold War, overall more stable and consolidated Europe (other than Austria-Hungary) and probably no modern problems with mass immigration. Europe would also be much stronger economically without Versailles fucking up Germany economy and then Nazis fucking it up even more and then having the country divide in two. We probably also wouldn't have this bureaucratic dictatorship of the EU
>>82181693>can't be worse anywhere elseDid I fucking say that?
America is my home, and I love America. This country is, always has been, and always will be better than any commie shithole that wants to come and claim us to be imperialist or whatever else. But I also don't think we need to stick our fingers into pies that aren't ours. We shouldn't ignore our fuckups. And we damn sure need to put OUR people first, rather than trying to police others based on foreign policy decisions made by the kidfuckers in our government
>>82181883>war which created that country's greatnessThe Bill of Rights is what made us great. The freedoms and protections offered to man against the tyranny of the minority.
World War two didn't do anything good for us, and we were already on track to becoming a superpower before it ever began. (You) are a historically illiterate fuckwit
>>82181060Nixon is the reason there are so many fatties and Fox News
>>82181360>Why do so many of you robots hate Reagan? Not reading the rest of your shill faggotry but it's because of Trickle-Down Supply-Side Voodoo Reaganomics
>>82181461The tariffs are there to make up for the lost revenue from the tax cuts for the rich. Reagan made up for his tax cuts by gutting public programs and running a massive deficit. They differ on the how's but they essentially aren't that different on the underlying trickle dickle economics worldview that answer the why's of their policies.
Bonus Round: Reagan also flip flopped on the tax cuts and reluctantly raised em up in 82, 84 and 86 just like how Trump is TACOing on his tariffs when there is pushback
The damage of Reagan's budget cuts however were deep. For one you can trace back the student debt crisis on his term. After he cut funding for affordable education, colleges had to raise tuitions to cover operational costs, tuitions which will be paid for by loans. Money that was supposed to go directly into educating students went into admins to manage finances further increasing bloat and therefore college costs. Why are colleges expensive? Reagan
>>82182105Nigger world war 2 was 40 years later.
>>82180948 (OP)James Buchanan
His fecklessness literally split the country in two. If you want a modern president, Richard Nixon is responsible for the supreme Court legalizing political corruption and bribery. Look up the Powell memo for more details.
>>82182268You said 19th century. That is any year from 1800-1899. Be fuckin specific
