Unclear, I'm ambivalent. I think TERFs as a demographic are dwarfed by liberal women and I honestly believe that TERFs still hate troons less than they hate men and what hate they have for troons is because they are men and they see them as something that contaminates sacred female spaces. Never heard them complaining about troons shitting up video games for men throughout the 2010s, so it's the probably the purity thing.
Don't forget that troons, small as a demographic as they are stood with any female activism that wasn't actively hostile to them but instead was pointed towards male groups that did not involve them. They were on the same side most of the time, but that's just politics.
As always, results will probably vary based on looks, most TERF threads on crystal cafe feature police mugshots of the most grotesque looking beasts.
I'm also certain that most troons are just straight men who attempt to bypass, or sometimes brute force their way through this firewall of female affection or settle for an imitation of women, i.e date on of their own. I don't think that many of them have the same autogynephilia, the female self-love and arousal that women feel for themselves, not to the same degree anyway.
I think in most cases it's just a dating strategy, an adaptation to the modern environment. Maybe I will cover them in the re-compiled version, but I don't think they would add much context to this theory and getting into the details would take up a lot of space in an essay, possibly even derailing the entire thing.
