I figured this out as a retarded 18 year old working in a warehouse, you telling me theres 40 year olds that feel like they have to work a job they hate just because they just have to and thats that?

i worked the amazon nightshift when i was maybe 20, and it was utterly depressing how little the older folks were regarded. I was pretty fit at the time, would coast to just beat the unannounced quota, meanwhile the fucking screen says if you bust your ass for the next hour you could be thrown in a draw to win a fast food gift card. lol. and then plenty of the poor single mothers would strive for it, some handling like 200 more units than i did per hour. my back fucking hurt doing this and i was 20, from wearing those heavy safety shoes, doing this from 5:30pm-6:30am, sweating my ass off in a hot warehouse.

i just did it for a few months before i moved somewhere more expensive. but when everything went to shit economically i moved back a year ago while i finish school. broke, no car, and i had my dad bitching three months later about how i didnt have a job. genx are fucking boomers man. there they were in the warehouse, keeling over in their knee braces for a job that hated them, and here was one who must sincerely think if i just worked some wagie job for the next couple years it's really gonna help me get a head start on a white collar career. idiot country
