What is the upside of bomb drones over the Tomahawk Missiles we kept using against Iraq?

you don't know the half of it, it's much more of a civil war and terrorism problem than a regular war problem. maybe even a gang warfare problem. large centralized states may not even be tenable in the long term.

No one realizes how much damage they can do to the systems infrastructure and it baffles me, but I shouldn't complain because if the shooting starts that means I can't goon in my room anymore

Bomb drones are to Missiles what Technicals are to Tanks
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_War
Anyone can hook up an MG to the back of a Toyota. It could never beat a tank. Bomb drone is going to lose to a missile

Governments will be soon fielding giantic quantum computers that will let glownigger AI daemons hack these at will most terrorists cannot into cryptography

I'm surprised more people haven't committed terorism/insurgency through EMP attacks there was a very interesting thing that a certain Serbian militia did using a hjijacked transformer and some tech...blew out the power for half of a city

The bomb drone can beat a tank, beat armored cars, can blow up helicopters mid flight, can clear out trenches, if set up properly, completely wipe out an airfield.

Retard, drones will be controlled thin fiber optic cable. Good luck hacking it.

Bomb drones do not cost $300 to make. They cost more like $5000. Most of thst price is the TATP it would be even more expensive if the explosive is military-graden cutting edge like C4/HMX that western militaries use instead of broke Russians and Hohols on a budget. Explosives are expensive. Also very heavy, the type of FPV that can carry a payload is expensive like maybe $1000retail price cheapest and you need a license but you could build them for $500 and you can use reused electronics/SDs iPhone parts which is what hohols do

Brother...how long do you think a fiber optics cable is..you know those things can get tangled right

A great way to tell everyone exactly where you are too

You realize ukraine FPVs have an effective range of potentially kilometers...whats the point of an FPV if you are in range to just shoot them with an RPG think bozo think

Maybe nanofiberoptics but that's cutting edge tech only glowies will have access to that

Yeah that my point that's why fiber optics unless you're taling about some cool localized operation is pointless as a result drones are vulnerable to interference/jammers not cost effective in modern warfare cause artillery/mortars are still the crown of modern war a jammer is probably like $60k and reveals its exact location on use then the enemy can shell it for $200 drone wins

But it's good at stopping terrorists... Netanyahu paid a certain Finnish company like $50 million in jew gold for a personal antidrone system rather interesting...

Also they are vulnerable even at range cost effectively to automated high-gauge shotgun turrets DARPA is working on something like that anyways it's transformative but not gonna end the world...also unless you live in a Banana republic like Iraq the biggest problem is access to high explosives anyways once you have that it's pretty easy to kill a shit-ton of people even without FPVs

Yes and a missile can do that faster and with more force
A bomb drone is slower and cheaper. It is less sophisticated

It's about economy, now a smaller military can touch you and hurt you real bad for a fraction of the price, taking out your expensive toys with a flying piece of shit, large scale combined tank/infantry assaults aren't a thing anymore because drones negated that

Anon that's exactly what's being used in ukraine, they literally hook their drones to fiber optic cables that are several kilometers long. It's even becoming an environmental issue because fields and forests are full of fucking fiber optic cables.

tomahawks cost $3-4 million a pop to operate if you're importing them

>talking out of your ass
most ukrainian drones are fpvs and do cost 300-600 dollars
western countries are starting to produce 800-1400 dollar range fpv drones that are a lot more capable
you don't really want to go over 1500 for an fpv because then you're too close to the price of an artillery shell (~2000) and you lose the price advantage and might aswell buy more artillery
loitering and self-directed munitions are ~30 000 dollars and up but their use case is completely different from artillery shells and FPVs which share a lot of their tasks

soldiers are proxies for their commanders
commanders are proxies for the pedophiles and drug traffickers that rule the nation
drones are proxies for soldiers
the money and glory isn't worth it, military service is and always will be retarded

They did have it. Not the FPV drones with the shaped charges, but they did use drones and and improvised release mechanisms to drop explosives.

Bomb drones are cheap as fuck and don't require a specialized launcer. Your soldiers can just carry them in a backpack and launch them from practically anywhere, potentially from less than a kilometer away. They're also hard to detect and with the fiber wire ones you can't even use electronic jamming.
>be pvt. anon
